Election of State Convention Delegates
This year, we elected the GOP Delegates to the Indiana State Convention from Washington Township. In Presidential election years, this is an important election because these delegates are responsible for:
Officially confirming the results of the primary for the state and national candidates
Establishing and confirming the Indiana State GOP Platform
Nominating and electing the Lt Governor candidate
These delegates are elected based on a calculation of numbers of GOP Voters in each Township. Washington Township will be electing 10 delegates for the State Convention. This year, the ballot will be quite long with those who wish to become delegates.

Declared Lt. Governor Candidates
Currently, there is only one declared candidate to be voted on at the convention. When other individuals decide to get into this race, I will publish their names. We do not elect this individual, but the people we elect as delegates to the convention do elect this position. Another reason to send our best possible delegates to the convention.
